Welcome to Ruskin Vale Organics
Ruskin Vale Organics began life as a response to the demand for locally produced organic vegetables and our Box Scheme can be traced back 20 years to an initiative created by a group of committed supporters in the Stourbridge area, whose aim was to supply the local community with fresh and affordable organic produce, by co-ordinating a network of local growers.
That long history of involvement with socially based organic distribution continues today at Vale Head Farm in Kinver. The Farm is owned by the Ruskin Mill Educational Trust which is dedicated to helping and educating young adults with social and learning difficulties. Students are fully involved in the growing, packing and distrubution process from the “seed to the table” as part of their educational curriculum at the Farm.
The land at Vale Head Farm was rested for 2 years and received no treatments of any kind other than natural fertilization and is fully certified Bio Dynamic / Organic.
From the elevated views at the Ruskin Vale Organics we look west across the farm towards the Apple Orchard and Market Garden where the raised vegetable growing beds enable us to deliver local fresh produce, most of which is picked on delivery day.
Naturally, we endeavour to supply fresh produce and other products all sourced from ethical manufacturers and suppliers. This includes household goods, dry goods, nuts, seeds and a good selection of staple products.
